Geezers
on another thread, undercover suggested "adam and the dinosaurs".. i came up with these:.
green bible dinosaurs.
jezebel and the fornicators.

meetings are boring for young kids and old but i'm going to focus on young kids 5 or 8.. i think is unfair that young kids get punished for falling asleep or zoning out.. as meetings are not as boring but i have to go to school the next day and staying up till 10pm isn't the best i can't get out of going.. but think of the young kids that dont even understand most of the teachings.. i know most on the site are adults but i heard of adults falling asleep..
I remember brother "elder full of himself" had a local needs part about falling asleep during the meeting a few years ago. Sister "longtime pioneer" about 5 minutes into the part let out a loud 'snort' because she fell asleep. That brother was soooo upset. We even had an attendant meeting about waking ones up gently by going up to them and tapping their shoulders to wake them. It was in retrospect very amusing. Personally, I never really cared. I was more upset by the 5 to 8 y/o having their farting contests.
on another thread, shadow asked pimojw, a newbie still serving in a congregation, "how about the overlapping generation?
do you know anyone who actually believes that?
"answer was "no i dont!
I still have my feet in the door because of family ties. And I can tell you that I know more of recent "light" than professed believers. When I tried to explain the overlapping generations to my still in cousin, he was appalled by it and turned me into his elders! I wish I could have been there!!!!!
i should know the answer to this but my memory is failing big time.
our friend just called who is still in the cult.
he's been away from it for about five months now.
He can be DFed for anything that a judicial committee agrees to. "Brazen Conduct" will be the excuse.
these people won't state anything definitively, but here's an excerpt from the study article entitled "making christian marriage a success", in the august, 2016 watchtower.
it does make me wonder.. although the bible does not provide specific rules about the kinds and limits of love play that might be associated with natural, sexual intimacy, it mentions displays of affection.
(song of solomon 1:2; 2:6) christian marriage partners should treat each other with tenderness.
I seriously find it hard to swallow.

Their view towards oral sex blows. No, actually it sucks.

i know you might think i'm exaggerating but if you really think about it, maybe i'm not.
these two religions originate with the same ancient belief system.
islam is a dangerous middle eastern cult that seeks to control every aspect of its members' lives.
When they start crashing planes into buildings and yell "praise Jehovah" as they cut the heads off of non believers, I'll agree with you. Right now, nope.
some congregations were known as liberal and others were considered very conservative.
back in the 1970s a nearby congregation made all speakers who gave public talks a white shirt to wear.
if a speaker came in wearing anything but white they were brought into the library and were given a white shirt!
No splits in long ankle length skirts which was worn in the 90s. Splits that were below the knee was still seen as evil. We had Neville bromidge (D.O) ( Melbourne Australia) sit in back of the Melton assembly hall count the amount of sisters with these splits and he then shamed us all on stage. what a perve!
Probably got his rocks off after he got back to his lodging. What a whack-a-doodle!

No bow tie if giving a public talk. Yep, I was told that. After giving my 3rd public talk I was pulled to the back room by 2 Eldumbs in my congregation and was told it was a distraction, and they believe an unwanted call of attention to myself. The funniest thing, aprx. 4 or 5 months later, our CO came to the servant meeting wearing a bow tie. Me, being the trouble starter that I am, asked right in front of the body why is he wearing a bow tie, it's a distraction and an unwanted call of attention!?!?!?! The CO looked me right in the eyes and said if I was ever told that, then they went beyond "what is written" and should ignore it!!
